Hello.

I recently purchased an Acer Spin 513 Chromebook 13.3in Snapdragon 4GB 64GB.

I set it up for my daughter with all the parental controls and when I tried to download Netflix from the Google Play store it either wasn’t visible or told me that Netflix isn’t compatible with this device.

I contacted Netflix who had me change parental controls off and update the Chromebook to the latest software but still the problem exists.

I can watch it from a browser but sadly no app.

just wondered if this was a problem with the particular laptop? Or Chromebooks in general?

I don't see where your problem is, as watching Netflix from a browser or app is the same, yes I know that an app is more convenient but that is how it is, as I can't install the Netflix app on my new Nitro 5 gaming laptop either😁 .

You can’t download films/programmes from the browser … but the app does. We are going on a long haul flight soon so was hoping to download from the app.

it’s not a huge crisis though I admit.

The Netflix app is designed for phones, and doesn't like the larger display. You can run into the same issue with Android tablets...
