Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-54. Black laptop screen + ssd problems

Hi,

I recently bought this laptop and have a black screen for the internal screen, I can however, see everything on an external screen. This happened randomly after I finished installing all my drivers.. I have tried the power reset and am currently doing a factory reset. I can hear the splash screen sound when the laptop is booting, If I try to go to the BIOS screen both screens are black.

Along with this, I bought an SSD and when I install it, the laptop goes black. If I understand correctly, the laptop is trying to boot from the SSD. I do not see any slave switch on my new drive and nothing within the computer.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    An update to this.

I did a windows reset. It cleared the computer then restarted, The screen stayed black so I restarted it and now i'm fairly sure its messed up the installation. I think its time to send the computer back.

I'm constantly trying the power restart, but not sure if I'm doing it right. I'm holding the power button for up to 30 seconds but nothing lights up as people say.

If you see the images on an external secondary monitor then its the PH315-54s screen and/or the eDP cable/plugs that connect the screen to the LCD screen or motherboard that have a fault somewhere, thi sis a complex thing to fix so don't attempt to do anything with a laptop that is under warranty. First connect the external monitor and reinstall the OEM Acer PH315-54 OS that the laptop came with and send it to Acer Support in your area for them to diagnose and fix this screen problem(s), don't open and/or touch anything that could void your warranty. Good luck as I know how frustrating this is, but these things do happen.
