hello, I have a predator triton 300 (i7 10750 - RTX 2070 Max Q design) and I would like to know if high temperatures (like +80°C or +90°C ) are really something to worry about in games, since From the beginning and since I started pushing this laptop with demanding games, it was one of the first alarming things that I came across when I bought it there 2 years ago and I really would like to know if these temperatures are something to worry about since I have already read comments who said that 90°C is a safe operating temperature according to INTEL and it is nothing to worry about and others who contradicted that and said that 90°C is something alarming and yes, a temperature like 90°C at the moment and more Beyond the fact that the laptop is hot, nothing will happen, not even the thermal throttling will activate, but I would like to know if this can really affect his useful life since the laptop is not cheap and I hope it lasts at least 7-8 years. functional, I was already whit the undervolt (the voltage whitout undervolt is usually 1,200V - 1,300) and it lower the temperature in a minimal way (like -3°C -10°C) and in a few days I will change the thermal paste and with that I am also considering to make a downgrade to my bios to undervolt it again, but i still don't know if it's really worth it since I'm not sure if +90°C is completely safe and if it really don't affect the useful life of the CPU, I would like read what you think and if temperatures like these are safe in the long term, I will appreciate any recommendation or information you give me since I know very little about processors and temperatures, I will also try to answer questions if any arise, thanks for reading

    Hi,

No, you shouldn't worry about the temperatures, it's normal for the temps to go up to 90-95°C while gaming, my system also hikes up to 94°C while doing normal work, your CPU can withstand temperatures up to 100°C, in my opinion, you don't need to do any undervolting or repasting, you can think about it when the temps start to rise to near 98°C mark, CPUs have built in safety mechanism and when it reaches 100°C, it will shutdown the system to protect CPU.

I don't think downgrading BIOS is a good idea, there's a slight chance of bricking your laptop and make it inoperable, so I wouldn't do it.
