So when I have (some) games open, a weird sound starts to appear from somewhere around the middle of my keyboard. I recorded said sound and attached it to this message as a .zip file. I don't know why this sound appears, or what even is making the sound.

The only thing I know is that it isn't coming from the fans, and only appears when I have a game running. Also, the sounds ins't constant. For example, when I play World of Tanks, the sound starts when I enter my garage. But when I load something, for example the depot, during the loading screen the sound disappears. When the loading is done, the sound reappears.

Could anyone help me diagnose this sound?

I have a PH-315-53-75V0, with the I7-10750H and a GTX 1660Ti

Is the sound too loud? There are chances that any screw of the fan might be loose , so that gives you sound when the fan is running.

Turn off the laptop and see still you getting that sound?

I understand you say "The only thing I know is that it isn't coming from the fans, and only appears when I have a game running. "

For me it looks like a software issue.

I will make it simple ! It might be a third party software application which is causing the sound. It might have loaded automatically without your knowledge. It might have loaded along with some of the programs. When you close the program it will also close the program which is causing the sound.

When you are getting the weird sound, please try to open taskmanager

You can use ctrl + alt + del on keyboard to lock the screen - click on task manager

Try windows + shift + esc on keyboard to open taskmanager

Checked the applications which are open

Right click on the application - click on end task - Sound will stop

Right click on the application - open file location - It will show you the name of the program

You can simply uninstall the program out of the computer.

Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue..

    Try windows x

click on power shell admin or command prompt admin

    type rstrui

chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fine

    click on next, finish, yes

It will restore your computer to an earlier date

if you get an message - system restore not completed - click on close

It will show you all the icons..

Try and check whether it is working now ..

If it is still not working

Try windows + r - on run - type msconfig

go to startup - check the programs which is causing the issue - Uncheck it

Go to services - check the box "hide all microsoft services " - Uncheck the services which is causing the issue

    apply - ok

    Try windows + r - on run - type appwiz.cpl

Uninstall the game which is causing the issue

Restart the computer and install the game again.

    It should work fine.
