Do the M.2 slots in Orion Predator 3000 640 come with preinstalled thermal pads?

Hi All,

I’ve just purchased the Orion Predator 3000 640 (it arrives at the weekend) and am wanting to add a 1tb PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD into the vacant M.2 slot. However, I am unsure whether the M.2 slots on the pc already come with thermal pads or whether I would need to purchase either an SSD with a preinstalled heat sink or a separate thermal pad + ssd. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

    Hi,

No, I don't think there will be any thermal pads or heatsink, most probably, you won't need a heatsink or thermal pad because it's a PC and there's a good air flow, but in any case, wait for it's arrival and see how the system performs then you can buy thermal pad latter on if you need it.

I think it's interesting to note the predator orion 7000 does come with pre applied thermal pad under the SSD , something i didn't know until i upgraded a heatsink to it.
