I have been using this tiny convertible laptop for a number of months - no problems Until today.

Gently depressing the micro card usually releases it. But it is not releasing now.

How can I fix?

Common issue. Often due to dust, finger oils & other debris that can accumulate inside the socket You may have to use a tweezers to gently push it in the slot further to trip the release mechanism, then actually pull it out.

    Easier said than done!

    Minimal clearance for tweezers.

Notice what looks like a round hole adjacent to micro card (Iin slot at approx level of card fingers) -- is that anything that can be used?

Don't think so. Maybe can be shaken out. Follow tips in this link. Or pick up this tweezer set with needle- & flat-nose tips at Walmart. Less than $10. That's what I use.

    Jack --

    Thanks for your assistance.

    Appreciate the link.

Successfully removed card with sewing needle by grabbing slightly released edge.

Seems like the spring mechanism is weak (?)

But considering spraying some CRC QD Electronic Cleaner.

    NO!!!

The ingredients used can melt plastic parts. Compressed air or CO2 only.
