I have an acer nitro 5 that can only turn on when I disconnect the battery, has anyone had a similar problem?
[Edited the thread to add the issue detail]
What is the exact Nitro 5 model number, as your problem could be many, either the actual battery and its connection to the mobo, power DC Mostats and capacitors that are shorted etc etc and needs to be diagnosed by a technician. Get another and new battery and disconnect the rtc/bios battery and disconnect the ram, leave them disconnected for 15min and reconnect all with the new main battery and see if with a new battery the power on problem is fixed. will fix this problem.
Thank you for your answer!! Model number is NITRO AN515-43 ( N18C3)
Do you know the difference between AP18E7M and AP18E8M batteries? I ask because there is an AP18E8M in my laptop, and when I enter the model of the laptop (AN515-43) on ebay they give me an AP18E7M as its battery?
These are the Acer listed batteries for your AN515-43 laptop:
The LG - AP18E8M - 3733 mAh is a lower Pack Capacity battery which will work and is compatible with your laptop. You can get Simplo - AP18E7M - 3815 mAh battery on eBay, have a look here; New AP18E7M AP18E8M Battery for Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52 AN515-54 AN515-55 AN515-43
