Today, I have just received my Asus predator 5000 and plugged my headset in to the AUX and the audio is being received however there isn't any bass coming though to my headset I have tried other aux jacks and the headset works perfectly fine, any reason why? i thought it may be an audio issue however my monitor has a aux jak and plugged my headset into it and the audio is perfectly fine through the monitor so could it be that the aux jack is faulty?

Just to be more precise, is your desktop an Acer or an Asus, I think you meant Acer Predator Orion 5000 desktop. Have a look at the front AUX audio port plug #4 if its not damaged or has any of its internal connecting pins lose, chase the #4 headphone internal wires and plugs that connect to the mobo, as your desktop is under warranty, I would not open and/or do anything to this desktop as you need to consult Acer Support and get their advice of what to do, as its also a big job. Below are all the diagrams of the top part ports that your desktop has and i've especially included the front audio panel for your PO5-640 which is the Acer Predator Orion 5000 desktop.

Likely it's right as far as the hardware goes. Depending on the software installed you might have the audio set to a different mode than you prefer. Check to see if you have the Realtek Audio Console and see where it's set. If you get sound out of the port then the hardware is doing it's job.

Could it be that the headset you are using has a microphone? The plug is different between stereo headphones and those with a mic. See here for more info.
