I have an aspire XC-1750, which except for the processor, I believe is the same as the more common TC-1750, ( i3 vs i5 processor). I believe they both have the intel W610 motherboard. It is my understanding that the W610 does not allow overclocking, but does allow XMP up to 3200Mhz. the stock micron CL-22 3200 8GB ram did indeed run a 3200Mhz. I replaced the Micron ram with a larger ram kit from Teamforce which is XMP enabled. I am a noobie at a lot of this, and I have been poking around the BIOS but I see nothing about XMP or anything like it. I am assuming Acer does not want anybody using XMP on this model, so that option is just not there. Is this correct?

I have Americian Megatrends RO1-A1, 22/02,21 do I need to update BIOS?
