Acer aspire M570 HDD burnt & no HDD in BIOS. Can't install Windows. How to get HDD appear in BIOS?

Borrowed a PSU for testing. There is a "pa" sound when power is turned on. HDD is burnt & then there is no HDD in BIOS no matter which connector the HDD is connected. Cannot install Windows.

How to get HDD appear in BIOS again, please?

What is your PCs model number? As its a bit hard to advise you on anything if you don't state which PC you have.

PC : Acer aspire M5700, 

OS : Windows 7 Pro. 32b.

CPU: Intel Core2 Quad CPU，

RAM: DDR2 800 SDRAM 4G，

GPU: Removed & use on board Intel® G45，

PSU: Liteon 6301-08A

MB : G45T AM2 V:1.0 motherboard，

HDD: WD600BEVS Scorpio 60GB

Borrowed RM650x for testing. Connected the HDD to the 2nd connector from the PSU of RM650x, the PC did not start. Connected the HDD to RM650x's DVD connector,

he PC started & ran normally for 7 hours. An hour later, had the HDD connected to the same connector, the 2nd from RM650x PSU, there was a "pa" burst & smell, HDD burnt. 

Changed HDD, Toshiba MK1032GSX, & tried to install OS, found no HDD. There was no HDD in BIOS.

How to get HDD back to BIOS, please?

Try the other SATA HDDs plugs and change the cable as having a burned smell is not a good sign for a mobo, check the circuitries also if any are burnt. Also do a cmos reset to reset the bios.

My suggestion is the same as Stevegen.

Locate your burnt components and replace them (if possible) .

Did you possibly have a water or beverage spill ?

What to do nest after jump the jumper clearing CMOS?

Will BIOS automatically recognize the HDD?

By the way, I have taken the CR2032 for half an hour and then put it back in. It did not make any difference.

Have changed PSU and HDD. And have done 3 times CMOS reset to reset the BIOS.  There is a little change. The first, it stats in parentheses (Factory Drive ) in the space where should state the info of the first drive priority. Windows installer still finds no driver.

Visually thru a magnifier or without depends on your eyesight.

Also your nose will help guide you.

It sounds like you have either fried the motherboard or the HDD. Can you connect the HDD to a different computer, and does it work there? If so the problem is likely the motherboard, if the HDD doesn't work on another computer then it has probably died. You will have to try a different drive to see if it works.
