Acer Aspire a515-46: "Unknown USB Set Address Failed"

I have an Aspire 5 laptop with Windows 11 installed and whenever I plug in my external HDD adapter to it, I get this message: "Unknown USB Set Address Failed". The laptop will rarely recognize the external hard drive at all, and once it does, it immediately disconnects itself.

This didn’t happened when I first got the laptop a few months ago. Everything worked fine with no issues at all. My guess is that recently I did a fresh reinstall of Windows 11 and some drivers are either out of date or incompatible with my Acer Aspire model.

So far, I’ve:

-       Uninstall USB device drivers in Device Manager

-       Cleaned connection ports on my laptop and USB adapter

-       Updated Windows to the latest version

-       Connected the USB adapter to different ports

-       Tested the adapter on a different computer

-       Contacted the manufacturer of the USB adapter

-       Updated the chipset drivers

It works perfectly fine on other computers but it’s unrecognizable on mines.

After updating the chipset drivers, I somehow got it to work, but it soon gave back the same error. Also, I wasn't sure how to install the chipset drivers from Acer's support page because they were just folders of IO and MSI files, so I downloaded the drivers from AMD website. Right now, I'm not sure how to replace AMD's drivers with Acer's provided drivers or how to solve the USB disconnect issue. So, if anyone can help me on this it would be greatly appreciated.
