Hey guys, My Acer Predator Triton 300 Model- N20C3 isn’t charging. When I plug it in the wire it say is plugged in not charging. It doesn’t work without the charger. I’ve changed the battery recently it worked just fine without the wire but it still doesn’t charge the battery ,thoughts?

What do you mean by "works fine without the wire"? What wire?

the new battery I replaced it with off of Amazon came pre-charged (about 75%) and didn’t need to be plugged in with the charger to work. Before with the old battery, it wouldn’t work unless it was plugged in to the charger meaning if it wasn’t plugged in to the charger it was just insta-shut off. Sorry if I typed weird kinda just anxious. Hope this explains it better tho

I’m just wondering if it’s a just need a genuine battery to fix the issue or it is a battery terminal issue

What do you mean by genuine battery? Acer doesn't make batteries but may re-label those made by Panasonic, Samsung, Lite-On and other battery makers. They're all genuine batteries that Acer uses in Acer laptops And exactly what terminal are you referring to?

honestly I can’t really tell you. Here’s a picture of what I see. The first pic is the battery having no charge but the second one is showing that’s fully charged. The 3rd is the battery levels overtime

    I need serious advice.

any Idea what’s going on? At this point I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my first battery since it’s showing the same thing on my current (2nd)battery

OK. Follow these steps and post image of result.

    (1) Search 'cmd' in Windows start menu.

    (2) Right click command prompt near top of menu.

    (3) Click run as administrator.

    (4) Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport' at command prompt.

    (5) Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer.

    (6) Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser.

    (7) Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible that compares design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity.

It doesn't show much because the internal regulator in the battery's that's in there now isn't working. So it looks like the old battery.

And it also looks like the two batteries were switched in and out during the same time period, One looks fairly new that seemed to be working OK at least for awhile.

What battery did you use to generate this report?

I used the new battery while generating that report.

    1. Has the new battery been in there all the time since Nov 5th?
    2. Can you generate another report with the old battery. Only interested in the first part of the report.

@AsianPersuasion check your battery wear with hwinfo or battey bar pro if more than 15/20% consider replacing it it has dead cells they wont hold the disegned capacity anymore.

Ps: i see you already got a new one so disregard my comment and calibrate it properly let it fully charge with the laptop off for up to 12h (first time only) after let it discharge on battery mode and repeat the recharge/discharge process 3 times for a proper calibration internal batteries usually last 2/3 years+ if well taken care of mine's from 2018 always on Ac 24/7 non stop 365 days its under 10% wear good luck.
