module: an515 55

When I upgraded the BIOS, the computer froze, then I thought it crashed so I forced it to shut down, and now I can't turn on (can't see the logo, can't press the F2 key to enter the BIOS), what should I do now, the large battery and the small RTC battery, even the memory module has been disassembled and reinstalled... Does that mean I need to re-flash the bios, and if so, what should I do?

What you have done is a big big no no, as you have virtually created a power failure of the system while updating BIOS which causes the bios chip to be bricked and the system to have no bios for the system to boot normally with, hence and why the black screen appears without a POST logo, etc., what you need to do is to create a USB Crisis Utility SOP. This requires experience and knowledge of how to create the Crisis Utility SOP otherwise it won't work. I've included a step-by-step guide of Using the Crisis Utility Disk.

Note: I take no responsibility if you do this wrongly and you cause more damage to your laptop! The best is to get Acer to fix this bios problem for you or get a local technician that has all the experience and all the appropriate tools to either do the Crisis Disk and recover the bios or replace the bios chip with a new bios chip that has the latest bios version chip to make your AN515-55boot and work again. Good luck and hope this helps you out as I know that this is a really frustrating thing but and for the future, never flash a bios if your system is prone to crash or just for a bios update, as a bios flash should NOT be done just like a software update if your laptop works 100%, its only done to fix what the bios title says that it fixes!

UM, I tried following your docs, created a rescue USB stick, and pressed fn esc. However, things didn't get better as I thought, the fan turned on for about 1 minute, and then the notebook it rebooted. During this process, the indicator of the USB stick does not light up. My bios file was extracted from the official website and I used version 2.06 of GH51Mx64.fd, I would appreciate some more help

You need to do the Crisis Utility Disk recovery a few times or you might have the wrong "GH51MX64.fd” file on the USB drive, so go through step #6 for Windows OS unzip again as you might have it wrong? As that is what I was saying as its not easy and it’s a hit of a hit and miss sort of a solution, that doesn’t always work.

If it doesn’t work then its best to replace the bios chip completely with a new chip like and look here on eBay “BIOS CHIP Acer Nitro AN515-51, AN515-52, AN515-53, AN515-54, AN515-55, No Passwordas this bios chip will have the last version bios flashed onto it and will work 100%. As you can see, the AN515-54 bios chips are available and are pretty cheap and its allot easier and quicker to replace the chip then repair it.
