I buy an SSD in order to change the SO location from old HDD to this new one SSD, to do so I create a recovery usb and disconnected HDD in order to install the SO in SSD, but the process never completes, there is some kind of error, looking at BIOS in boot priority list I don’t find the SSD and connecting de HDD I don’t find it neither, just the recovery usb appears, I don’t know if that is the problem but could be, any solutions please? 🙏🙏

PD: The discs details appears in bios first menu, so I think the pc does recognize them, they are not broken, heeelp

  • Hi,

You need to create a bootable USB installation disk to perform a clean installation, you can not perform clean installation of Windows with recovery disk, could you please post whether you want to clone your HDD to new SSD or perform a clean Windows installation.

  • Is your model an515-52? Have you tried cloning with macrium reflect?
