IN another post I've detailed many issues i've had with latency issues and DPC issues with using virtual DJ on my new acer Nitro 5 the AMD ryzen 7 5800H processor has a driver 21/04/2009 10.0.22621.608 Driver - I've downloaded the newer chipset driver dated 18.11.2021 10.043.0723.2020 but installation fails

Not gonna help opening up another thread on the exact same issue. Did you check temps again immediately after or while it was happening?

JackE I'm not looking at the other issue just any answer to the driver install issue.

Chipset updates are primarily meant for mainboards that are having issues due to production changes that could've been made after your machine was released. If it doesn't install, it might be because it's not meant your particular production run. So are you trying to install the driver because the latency issue resurfaced and may be related to it? Or just out of curiosity of why it fails to install?

I was advised to update everything as part of a pro audio configuration, all Drivers, BIOS updates everything but if it fails to install your reason makes sense. Ive done all other steps CPU throttling, Power management and checked through many of the automaic settings changing them as advised.

I am just going back through each step - after restoring to initial settings - although it's stayed on windows 11, and not reverted back to windows 10. I haven't yet even tried VDJ or any other dj software - I will stay on the other thread for that.
