ACER ASPIRE 5 A515-44G Laptop PC and WINDOWS 22H2 update: no more Bluetooth and Fingerprint sensor!

Hello,

I have an ACER ASPIRE 5 A515-44G laptop purchased in July 2020.

Windows 11 family, AMD Ryzen 5 4500U Hexa-core processor (with Radeon Graphics), 1 TB SSD, Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 640...

Since this week's WINDOWS 22H2 update: Bluetooth is no longer detected in the PC (the bluetooth troubleshooter announces: Device without bluetooth functionality...), it's the same thing for the Fingerprint sensor which no longer seems to exist...

What to do ?

Thanks

Yes, unfortunately the Intel BT drivers are problematic with Win-11, I've also had extensive problems with Win-11 new BT drivers with my Nitro AN515-56 that don't work and make my BT dead and unworkable, but its detected in Device Manager with the new driver and says that its working.

In your case as they are not detected in Device Manager, you have to do a complete and new install of the old Bluetooth and the Fingerprint drivers of the original OEM Acer drivers, for both the BT Intel driver Version:21.70.0.3 date: 2020/05/20 or the if you have the Atheros Version:10.0.0.938 date: 2021/11/22 but, I don't think that the Atheros is a problem as i only know about the Intel BT drivers in Win-11 .

Also do that for the OEM Acer Fingerprint Driver ELANTECH Version:3.6.11001.10301 date: 2020/05/20 as both will work 100% and DON'T LET Windows Update these drivers to newer drivers and keep an eye out whenever a new Windows Update is to be installed and hide them, as every Win-11 update will change these drivers to whatever version of unworkable drivers (especially the Intel BT driver) that they have. That is your problem, as doing the above will fix all that.
