Hi,

I bought a Nitro 7 and it charges the battery to 100% but as soon as I take out the power source the laptop shuts down immediately. It will not start without a power cord connected. Please help!

Best regards, Erik

What is the exact Nitro 5 model number? As there is no such thing as a Nitro 7 model there only a Nitro 5 AN715-52 that is a 17" screen model which is a laptop that is out of warranty. I would suggest that you first do a battery reset, press the Power button for 12 seconds to reset the battery and see if that works?

If that doesn't work then remove the eleven (11) screws securing the lower case to the upper case, then starting from the upper sides towards the middle, pry to release the upper side latches of the lower case, then continue releasing the remaining latches. Then remove the lower case.

Then, disconnect the main battery plug and unscrew the 2 screws, take the battery out and on the left corner disconnect the bios battery and also take the ram out, leave them disconnected for 5 min and reconnect everything and power your laptop up as all this should solve your problem. If not, then you have a DC port/cable issue or there is an internal power circuitry problem that has to be looked at by a technician.

    Hi @ErikKr

You can try to disconnect the laptop from the charger then press and hold down the power button for 20 secs. After that connect the laptop back to the charger and then try to turn it on. If that doesn't work then you can try to reinstall the battery drivers to check if that makes any difference.

NOTE: Make sure to reboot the laptop after uninstalling the driver.

Check the above link to do a reset.

NOTE: Make sure to backup all the data before the reset.

Hope it will help you in some way.
