I bought this monitor in July, and recently I left it at school over my midterm break. I don't know what the issue is but when I plugged in my laptop to the HDMI, it continuously would flash on and off, briefly showing the green Acer logo and then quickly turning back off. I also will use my Xbox with this monitor. I have tried unplugging everything, I would try turning it off with the button but it doesn't work as it flashes off too fast. My monitor is plugged into a power strip on my desk that I know has worked. If anyone has suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

    Hi @HCook30


    You can try to disconnect the monitor from the power cable, HDMI cable and then you can try to press and hold down the power button for 20 secs. After that you can connect the monitor back and try to turn it on.

    I have a lower end SA241Y (about 7 months old now) that experienced similar behavior described by @HCook30 above plus significant image distortion with heavy red pigment across the screen. Your recommendation worked well for me this morning. The image quality and operation are back to normal. I have 2+ years remaining on my warranty and will continue to watch for additional problems.
