I purchased the AN517-54-51RQ and I have some requests to make:

1. BIOS update that increases the TGP (watts) of the RTX 3050 GPU to 95Watts, as it has lower performance than the competition (Dell) that is using 95W of TGP. The current limit is at 75W, which leaves something to be desired. In addition, the temperature never exceeds 65ºC, when the competition performs better and reaches even sustainable temperatures, such as 75ºC, when in heavy applications.

2. BIOS with option to disable Intel RAID, because I can't update my SSD firmware with this option enabled.

Now suggestions:

1. It would be appropriate to have an option to open access to the advanced bios menu, with notice that the user is fully responsible for any damage he causes with the modifications, considering that other notebooks, such as Dell's, which allow the user to make advanced changes to the system. Although they also limit in some ways.

Don't update the vbios of your RTX 3050 with any flash, as you will damage and make this gpou perform wort, leave all settings and bios versions alone and only use the approved Acer AN515-54 approved bios or vbios updates. With the bios settings, the sata mode should be set at default at: RST Premium with Optane] and there is no unlocking of the advanced features of the AN515-54 bios.

Of course i will not update the vbios with any unapprouved flash, that was only a humble request.

Do you think we will get some bios update giving more tgp to this gpu/laptop?

if not, do you know where can i make my requests heard?

Ive found i fix for my second problem:

Try pressing Ctrl+S buttons while in the Main tab of BIOS screen, it will give you the option to switch to AHCI mode, however, I would suggest backup everything because when I tried to switch to AHCI in my system, I got BSOD, so I have reverted back to Intel Premium RST with Optane mode.

from RST to AHCI without losing anything (AFAIKT :))
