Po5-640 gpu upgrade and What I need a bigger power supply?

So I'm considering upgrading to the 3080 TI or maybe even the 3090 ti. What is everyone's thoughts on this. I mainly want to max out cyberpunk and future proof this pc. What I need a bigger power supply? Also do you think I would get significant performance upgrades?

Just in addition and with the psu, the PO5-640 comes with an 800W psu so its more than enough power for the RTX 3080.10GB GDDR6X. (part#: DA.30811.002) suggested psu 700W that is Acers top gpu that it fits OEM to this desktop.

The bottom line is that the new NVidia RTX-4080 16GB GDDR6X. at base clock 2205MHz/boost clock 2505MHz with a suggested psu of 700W has better performance and is a new gen card, while the RTX-3090ti 24GB GDDR6X base clock 1560MHz/boost clock 1860MHz which with a suggested 850W psu, you will need a new psu, which means extra cost, you would be much better off waiting and getting the new Nvidia RTX-4xxx gpu.

I think that the safest option would be to buy a proper PSU than risk letting the magic smoke out. I know it's more money, but personally I wouldn't feel safe to risk it.

Because we don't know about the future power requirements, I'd go for a good 1KW (or more) PSU from a reputable manufacturer. I believe some have even 10 year warranties. You should be able to get one at a good price thanks to Black Friday.

Just make sure that there's space as some are power supplies bigger than others. Oh, and get one that is fully modular.

Some PSUs have stiff cables, so they may be a bit more difficult to bend near the connectors. But this is usually mentioned in reviews and comments in places like Amazon.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but this close to the RTX 4000 launch I'd wait until the reviews are out. If the two 4080s ("4070" 12Gb and 16Gb) are as fast as they look on paper, they might be better choices.

Since you mentioned CB2077, here's NVIDIA slide. Looks promising, right? Keep in mind that they use new feature to boost up the result.

If the new cards are as good as I hope, there will be many HC gamers who'll want to upgrade their current cards => even better prices to be had. Most likely resellers have to lower their prices even more.

Don't get me wrong, I have 3080 Ti and it's a very capable card. I'm tempted to upgrade myself!

Your Predator PO5-640 supports standard ATX power supplies, so if needed you can upgrade to larger ones. The GPU upgrade is worth it if you don't already have a good enough GPU for your use, but not worth it in most cases. Which GPU do you have now?

I have the 3080. I was also wondering will any GPU fit or do I need a specific brand?

Measure once, cut twice. :) Seriously, measure the existing GPU before choosing a replacement. Different vendors can make cards that are different sized even though they have the same specs. With a 3080 in there now, I'd be tempted to leave it alone. The new 4000 cards are still scarce and pricey, and a 3090 plus PSU will be a fair chunk of change for a small improvement.

OP, the gentleman above is right. If you have a 3080 now, I'm afraid that getting 3090 Ti might not provide _that_ much more performance. Especially more so, if you game at 1440p or 4K.

So I just purchased a 4080 and I noticed that my 800 w non-modular PSU only has two pcie cables and the adapter for the GPU has three. Will a splitter work or do I need a new psu?
