Hi, I installed linux on an external hdd by allocating part of the disk memory to it. When booting into the bios, boot menu, the Linux disk is not visible. That is, I can't log in to the installed linux. I thought the thing was that I have UEFI boot mode, but it is impossible to change it, since my nitro 5 does not support other modes.

p.s the disk has the necessary data, so it is not advisable to format it.

Are you trying to boot the HDD externally using a USB adapter? This usually won't work? You can enable the F12 boot option in the BIOS Main tab. Then shut the machine off. Then turn it back on and immediately tap the F12 key to see if a external HDD boot menu appears. If installed internally, the Linux HDD must be GPT partitioned to be bootable by UEFI BIOS.
