Not satisfied with support

I'm getting nowhere with Acer support. If I knew they were this bad, I would never have bought the laptop.

Long story short.

The LCD screen on my laptop Blew, there was a flash to the bottom left of the screen when I was powering it off. The laptop posted once after that and booted into Windows.

Now it looks like it powers on but there is no power to the LCD screen and no signal to the HDMI port.

The so-called engineer says its not covered under warranty and I'm being accused of the damage.

I did ask to be put through to a manager (Content removed) but I have found he is just an IT technician so I've asked for this to be escalated to a manager. I've asked for a full report which one hasn't been provided even though I was told it would be provided. I have now been told since the first report and I quote "Sorry for the delayed response, as per our telephone conversation the LCD seems to have physical damage. It shows that there was an impact on the screen before it got damaged. I would appreciate it if you can advise on how you wish to proceed." I've asked where the impact point is.

I've also asked for proof that the laptop boots into Windows which again as been ignored. A replacement screen is only around £55.00 in the UK. I could fix it myself but I'm not confidant the laptop works beyond the damaged screen. Also, I should not have to do this. Where the flash happened on the screen there is no physical damage the LCD frame.

If anyone from Acer can be bothered about customer service, please respond.

    Hi qzxcvbn,

I am very sorry to hear this, unfortunately, the Acer Community is not a direct portal to Customer service, the Acer Forum Discussions were designed as a peer to peer support community where Acer users help other Acer users. Many Acer employees (Moderators), read the various topics posted here and you will notice that some Acer employees interact with members when appropriate, primarily we want the community to be a place where members can exchange their own advice and ideas.

Only your local support services can help you with this, the community is not an escalation channel, unfortunately.
