laptop Acer Nitro 5Overheating laptop, what should I do ?

Hey everyone :),

Summary of issue: I bought last year a portable laptop Acer Nitro 5, but since I bought it I had a lot of CPU overheating issues, CPU temps going to 90° Celsius with 20% load , even at arounds 95-97 when on 80% load, even just browsing right now with 2 tabs i'm at 91° with 24%load, tbh I have no idea how to fix that, it's been pretty much since the beginning and I clean my laptop every few months, I looked around for solutions but haven't found posts about problems exactly like mine so i'm looking for guidance

What is the model number of your laptop and is this laptop still under Acer warranty? As and if you allowed these high temps to run hot like they are and didn't consult Acer, then and if this laptop is out of warranty, then you will have to put up with these temps and take other actions. In some laptops you have to accept that they run hot, there are numerous things that you can do like adding a high-end laptop cooler, repasting the cpu/gpu with a high-grade paste, clean fans under volt the cpu and gpu or and the most extreme, is to do some drastic bottom case mods to allow more fresh air in and to improve crossflow ventilation.

Just as an example, I've got one laptop that is known to run hot and to overheat from new, (I've played games on this laptop until the laptop was that hot that the laptop shut off due to its high temps) that is when I decided to mod this Aspire V3-571G, so what I had to do (remember this is like a 10 years old laptop) is do some very drastic mods and added 2x 50mm round vents strategically (where this extra vents could assist crossflow ventilation) into its bottom case and also added thermal pads and extra aluminum cooling fins surrounding the gpu thermal plate and circuitries that get hot which is a drastic mod that you might not be able to do to your laptop (I don't recommend you do this to your laptop, if you have no experience or know what you are doing) but such mods as I've suggested did improve temps of this laptop by 25c, so are you prepared to do all this to your laptop? Its up to you.
