Acer X34 not rembering settings on restart

Hi,

My now oldish acer X34 does not remember any settings when the monitor reboots or wakes up from deep sleep.

I am wondering if this could be caused by a defective battery inside I could try and fix myself.

Hi @porcupinefish

You can try to do a monitor self test just by disconnecting the monitor from the computer and then you can try to press and hold down the power button for 30 secs. After that you can connect it back and try to turn it on. If not you can try to reinstall the display drivers to check if that makes any difference.

NOTE: Make sure to reboot the computer after uninstalling the driver.

Which X34 model do you have? It should be something like X34x xxxxx. The different letters and numbers define different models and since specs are different for each the internals are often different as well.

It's an X34Abmiphz model from june 2016. :)
