Good morning,

I am planning to upgrade my laptop and noticed it has:

1 slot for SATA 2.5 HDD / SSD drive

1 Slot for PCIe M2.80 drive

1 slot for SATA M2.80 drive

Can I remove the original SATA M2.80 drive and upgrade with:

1 PCIe M2.80 2tb drive

1 SATA 2.5 SSD 2tb drive

and 1 SATA 2tb M2.80 drive

Can this notebook hold at the same time all 3 2tb drives? Or what would be the máximum storage configuration mixing the 3 slots? (PCIe + SATA 2.5 + SATA m2.80)

Regards

Fabian

    Hi,

You can use 1TB in M.2 slots but 2TB may work in the M.2 slots but you have to try them at your own risk, I couldn't find anyone installed 2TB M.2 SSDs in this model, you can install 2TB SSD/HDD in the HDD bay, if you are going to use the second M.2 SSD for storage(PCIe/SATA) I think you can use 2TB without any problem, so I would suggest the following configuration:

    1. Slot 1 (PCIe only)- 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD
    2. Slot 2(PCIe/SATA)- 2TB M2 SSD
    3. HDD bay(2.5")- 2TB SSD/HDD
