  • Hi,

I don't think your model has XMP enabling feature but I have seen at least one user installed Kingston HyperX (link) 2x8GB and running at 2933 MHz, you may be lucky and it could work.

Just in addition, run and look at this scan "Acer Nitro AN515-55” that suggests all ram/ssd upgrades for your AN515-55, as I’ve got the AN515-56 which is the same laptop as yours, and the scan above (when done on my laptop) identifies my AN515-56 as an AN515-55, meaning that these two laptops are the same. My Nitro is not compatible with XMP overclocked ram and all I did to upgrade the OEM memory from 8GB DDR4-3200MHz CL22 was to buy an exact and same manufacturer/part number 1x 8GB OEM Acer fitter ram module (which imo is the cheapest and best way, the 1x 8GB DDR4-3200MHz cost was USD $35.00) which has now given my laptop, 16GB total (2x DDR4-3200MHz) at CL22 in Dual Channel mode that works perfectly and when I do the above scan its annualization says:

    Also, and remember that the scan above suggests not like Acer do a total max of 32GB (2x 16GB DDR4 modules) but a max total for your AN515-55 of 64GB Kit (2 x 32GB) DDR4-2666 SODIMMDDR4-2666 • CL=19 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8 • PC4-21300. They also suggest their Ballistix SODIMM 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Gaming Memory (Black) - DDR4 PC4-25600 • CL=16 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR4-3200 • 1.35V • 1024Meg x 64 •
