Motherboard and Overheating

What type/brand of motherboard does the ACER Aspire XC-780 have?

Is there any history of the CPU overheating on this model?

If I can find out the type of motherboard, I can run a utility to check the temperatures and fan speed.

The Acer desktops almost always have Acer designed motherboards, not a third party. Your XC-780 has a pretty standard uATX form factor MB with the stock cooling recommended by Intel. They did ship that model with two different MB revs, one designed for the 6th gen chips and one for the 7th gen. Overheating isn't really an issue with them unless the thermal paste has gotten old enough to fully dry out, and then repasting is suggested. As far as utilities go, I use one called Core Temp and it should work fine with both the 6th and 7th gen chipsets.
