Sticky keys are turned off. Drivers (two) are up to date. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the standard keyboard driver--didn't work. Please advise
Your problem is with the actual "Shift" key that its mechanics is either stuck or broken, use a quick dry electronic cleaner and spray the Shift key and see if you can free it up and make it work? If not, then its the actual Shift key that its mechanics is broke and you need to replace the keyboard completely. Don't know what language keyboard you have, so look it up on the web and get a new one and replace it, either yourself or get a tech to do it for you or give us more details on your A515-43 model so that we can advise you of the exact keyboard/uppercase assembly that fits your A515-43 laptop as there are many different types for every language.
Try to turn off the sticky keys and filter keys and check.
