How to reset Acer Nitro 5 to Default Drivers

So, long story short, I want to go back to the default drivers the system starts with, cause I think updating certain drivers may have messed up some bluetooth settings with headphones. Is there a way to do that without factory resetting the pc? Any suggestions are welcome.

  • It would help if you told us the exact Nitro 5 model laptop you have and what OS you are running? Btw and I'm advising you from personal experience, as I've got a Nitro 5 AN515-56 running Win-11 and I've had problems with the Intel Bluetooth updates from Intel’s new drivers for Bluetooth with ll their new drivers. With these Nitro 5’s the Acer OEM BT which in my laptop is the Killer AX1650i the BT driver is a proprietary Acer driver and can’t be updated, btw, the new Wi-Fi drivers do work with Wi-Fi only but not BT, which is baffling.

What I would do if you have updated to a new Intel driver, is to uninstall the none OEM Acer BT driver and install only the Nitro 5 Acer OEM BT driver for your laptop, as works perfectly and does not need updating. Also make sure that this BT driver is never updated by windows update or and if you have the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant hide the update if this software suggests an update.

Btw the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant is an excellent Intel driver update especially for their integrated graphics drivers and it keeps your laptop up to date and working perfectly, which is what I have installed and I always update the Nvidia graphics to their latest also and of course the Win-11 updates also. Do all that and your laptop will work 100% and at its peak. Good luck and hope this helps you out as you don’t need to reset or reinstall your OS if the BT is problematic.
