Battery doesn't charge when laptop switched off (Acer Aspire 5 A514-54-58JH)

I received this laptop for over 6 month now. When I switched on my laptop the battery was 10% left. I switched it off and plugged it in to charge. The battery indicator was orange and never turn to blue as it usually does when it's fully charge when I went to check on it 5 hours later. I switched my laptop on and it stayed at 10%. Then i tried charging it while it's turned on and it does. why isn't my laptop charging while it's off?

(This laptop has been sent to acer service centre due to a faulty component)

Usually wait for at least 24 hrs for battery charge LED to turn from blinking or solid orange to solid blue.

Hi @Ozqx

You can try to reinstall the battery drivers to check if that makes any difference.

MOTE: Make sure to reboot the laptop after uninstalling the driver.
