I recently bought myself a Chromebook cb315-3ht and the camera quality is terrible? Like, it's sort of got static and it's really zoomed in. Is there a way to fix it before I return it?

Mostly camera will be working fine on new computers. We might have to work on settings of camera.

Please try to use the camera on zoom and google meet. Check whether the camera is working fine on zoom and google meet.

Kindly go through the details from the link given below

I've already tried all of that and it still did not work. The camera quality was still the same.

Kindly follow the details from the link given below.  It will show you how to perform a hard reset.

Once the hard reset is completed try to check whether it is working fine by connecting to wireless.   If it is not connecting to a wifi at your home please try to connect to a wifi in a different place or try to go to a hot spot and try to connect to a different wifi and check.

If the above steps are not working ...

If your chromebook laptop is in warranty you can contact the warranty dept.   Go to the website support.acer.com - chose your country.  On the new page - scroll down - click on "contact support". Scroll down. You can find the phone no to contact the warranty dept.

Likely the camera is working in low light mode. They get significantly lower quality when in low light..
