Just bought an aspire 5 A515-56T-7242 with bios on rev 5.0. I want to replace the 512GB drive with a samsung evo plus 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD and do a fresh install of windows 10 Pro. I removed the HYNIX 500gb drive and installed the samsung 1 TB drive. The drive is recognized by the bios but when I ran the windows setup, I can't see it. I was told I need to switch to AHCI mode using CNTRL S in the bios but the CNTRL S doesn't do anything in my bios. HELP

This model comes with the vmd controller in the bios. Press ctrl+s in the main bios tab and disable vmd controller. You also have the option to install the chipset .inf file during windows installation: https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/IRST/IRST_Intel_18.6.1.1016.2_W10x64W11x64_A.zip?acerid=637955187056643956&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%20A515-56&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6
