I cleaned the inside of my acer aspire a5 with a hairdryer and unable to turn it back on

Earlier I noticed there were some ants invading my laptop through ports so I unscrewed and opened it up to clean out the ants and gave it a quick blow with the hairdryer (on low power and cool temp) to take out the dust. I couldn’t boot it up afterwards. I noticed there was still power running through the laptop (charging light signals were on when plugged in, usb and mouse were also on) but the screen and keyboard were dead, I couldnt even heard the fan running. I’ve tried reseting battery and discharging residue static electricity but they all didnt work. Is using hairdryer to clean the laptop inside the cause for the issue? Anything I could do at this point to turn it back on or do I need to seek a professional? Thanks in advance.

Did you unplug the charger and disconnect the battery pack from the mainboard before you started poking around inside? Also the bottom cover must be fully aligned with the top cover and all screws snugged up and the battery charge LED lit solid blue with the charger plugged in before trying to turn the laptop on.

I did unplug everthing before opening it up. But I left the battery intact and removed nothing, then proceeded to clean everything like I did. I put everything back in place solid and yes the battery charge LED lit blue. I was just unable to start it up. Based how my mouse LED and the battery charge LED react, I could see it trying to reset everytime I held down the power button. The keyboard lights and the display weren’t responding.

Is the power LED lit or blinking or unlit?

I sought help from a friend, they knew a bit of the stuffs so they did some tinkering and testing, then said there might be something wrong with the keyboard??? Might be useless info but I thought I would throw it in here regardless.

Press and hold the power button for between 5-10 seconds. Does the power LED turn off?

Your keyboard or power button connector to the mainboard may be loose or not properly seated. What is your full A5 model number? For example, A515-51?

Open it back up and make sure the KB connector and other connectors are well seated on the mainboard as shown below.
