Hello, I have a question related to my acer nitro 5, I gave it to my friend and I realized that my friend always lifts my laptop up holding the lid (across the corner) while it is on. Will it damage it in long term? Can I know if any damages have been made because of the way he holds my laptop up?

Is it safe to lift a laptop up holding just the lid of laptop from the corner?

I am quite worried about it, can you tell me what things I must check to make sure that it's still fine? Thank you.

Not safe.. Too much weight stress on the hinges and lid frame. Should be carried by cradling the base with one hand and steadying the lid screen with the other hand.

Also hold it properly, around the center with lid closed or near closed (if not off). Never hold by lid for the base is more heavier than the lid. Also in almost all cases there is wiring in the hinges that connect to the webcam and screen.
