A few months after my purchase, my monitor couldn't use 144hz anymore. The screen freezes every few seconds and horizontal lines of pixels in the top half don't work during the freeze. I found that switching to 120hz fixed the problem. But after when i would try to switch back to 144hz, the screen is completely black except for a few pixels at the top. A few months after that 120hz stopped working as well. Same problem, but i found downgrading to 60hz fixed the problem. Now 50hz has just stopped working about a year after my purchase. Sometimes this happens after a windows update, sometimes it doesn't. I've tried all the basic stuff such as updating drivers or unplugging and replugging. The problem persists across different computers.

Maybe a video cable failing? Are you using HDMI or DP?
