Laptop taking a long time to get powered on Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52

I have Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52 laptop running 64 bit windows 10 version 21H2. For more than a month, I have been having a hard time in switching on my laptop using the power button. It takes more than 5-6 seconds sometimes even upto 15-16 seconds for the time I keep the power button pressed on before it gets powered on and the lights glow. This happens regardless whether the laptop is on charging or not. Since 2019 when I bought this laptop till June 2022, I used to press and hold the power button for just a second and release it and the laptop would start running. Slowly that time increased to 2 seconds, then 4 seconds, then the current stage. What should I do to fix this trouble?

Looks like a issue with the button - on any laptop that i know of it only takes a momentary press to turn it on, and holding for 5 seconds or more is a hard shut down.

Even one second is too long press. It should be a very BRIEF touch & release --- not hold for even one second. Pressing and holding for more than a few second is method for shutting the machine off, not on!

Try turning it on again with BRIEF touch & IMMEDIATE release.

Thanks a lot. I was holding the button for too long. Pressing the button briefly solved the issue.
