I'm plugging my headset with combined jack to acer an515-45 and it recognized as headphones so i can only use microphone in laptop but not on headset. I used this headset on my older laptop which was older acer nitro and i adjusted connection with realtek HD program on W10. OS on my current laptop is W11 and for some reason i cannot install this program.

Sorry, your new Nitro uses the Nokia OMTP type plug on the right. Your old standard headset plug is probably feeding the MIC output directly to the jack's OMTP sleeve ground.

You are most likely already using your headset mic.

Plug in your headset, when the computer prompts you "which device did you plug in", select headset. If not prompt, then go to Realtek Audio Console and select headset.

To verify that your headset mic is working, lightly tap your headset mic, the signal meter should jump.
