My 2 years old Acer Predator Helios 300 has a screen issue

Is it a Driver or Hardware issue? Please check the video below. I just noticed today, I'm not using this laptop everyday. I'm not even gaming a lot and usually I'm just doing some documentation staff and Photo editing.

I'm really frustrated for the quality of this if this is a hardware issue

Looks like AC mains noise to me. Do you see this when you disconnect the charger?

Yes, it's still there even if i'm not connected to the charger.

I tried to connect to an external monitor and the horizontal line is not there.

And also even if I enter BIOS, that horizontal line is still present. Looks like a hardware issue, either the LCD or the Ribbon connector

I'm really frustrated with the quality of Acer products, I had 2 Acer laptops before and both of them fails after only 3years!

And now this, I thought an almost $2K machine would have a better quality. It's just 2 years and I'm not even gaming every day.

This will be my last Acer machine. Apologies for the rant

You can try to reseat the LCD video cable connectors a few times at the base of the screen and the mainboard to help clean the contacts. Disconnect the battery before doing this. Sometimes happens in warm & humid environments.
