Touchpad is wonky... willy, willy, wonky

I am a new user to the Acer gaming community and one day while playing Star Trek Online I noticed I couldn't move the arrow toward the special weapons button row to fire a Temporal Vortex. I know that has only 10% bearing on the root of the problem, but I digress... the touchpad isn't working. I have used the on/off keyboard combo, restarted the system, shut 'er down, etc. Kinda freakin out because I JUST got the rig! It's sooo nice and suits my needs 85% perfectly! (the other 15% being the uh... the touchpad)

Ok, sorry for rambling on! Just wanna say that for a first-time Acer user, I am totally impressed with what I have seen, experienced and hopefully will continue to experience! 😁 Take care of yourselves and look after one another! Peace and Long Life! 🖖😎

What is the exact model number of your laptop, it should be on a sticker at the base of your laptop? With touchpads its either the driver, so look in Device Manager at keyboards for your exact touchpad type and driver, then uninstall the driver completely and reinstall the OEM driver again from the Acer Drivers & Manuals section of your laptop, otherwise and if this does not fix your problems then it could be either the touchpad cable that connects to the motherboard that has a wonky connection of its cable of the actual touchpad that is faulty, so and reading that your laptop is brand new, consult Acer Support in your area and get Acer to fix this problem under warranty and don't open and/or do anything to your laptop internally, that is my advice to you as these problems are numerous and a user like you can’t fix. Good luck and hope this helps you out and happy Acer computing😀
