My gpu has stopped working.

It does not show up in the task manager and also playing games are lagging a lot, so it seems that the gpu is not working correctly. Checking the device manager showed code 43 error at the start but now it shows that it is working correctly, but the task manager still does not show the gpu. Also, nvidia control panel does not open up as well. Using gpu stress tool furMurk does show intel gpu but not the nvidia one.

Things I have tried:

  1. Updating the driver
  2. uninstalling an reinstall the driver.

One other thing, the task manager shows that the intel gpu has 8gb shared memory, I don't know if it it is normal but I just provided that info so that I can get any help possible.

Any help will be appreciated thank you.

What OS is installed and is your Windows Update up to date and have you updated to the last bios? Look at those two first especially bios as the version 1.17 for the AN515-57 is a bios that "Improve system stability" could be a factor of your problem? Also when uninstalling the drivers you have to completely uninstall the NVIDIA and Intel drivers and reinstall them as fresh drivers and also do the same with NVIDIA control panel. Also I would install "Intel® Driver & Support Assistant" as it could be that some of your Intel drivers are out of date as software updates is all that a user can do in your case. Otherwise and as your AN515-57 should be under warranty it could be a hardware issue so get Acer to have a look at your problems and don't open or do anything to your laptop.
