Is this Gen 4 M.2 SSD compatible with the AN515-53-52FA?

I have a Nitro AN515-53-52FA, which currently only has an HDD. I want to remove the old HDD and upgrade with an M.2 SSD. I found a gen 3 SSD which, based on watching some upgrade videos, I think it's compatible. But ideally I would like to get this newer Gen4 SSD:

SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe Gen 4 Gaming M.2 SSD

I did some research but couldn't find anything definitive relating to gen 4 SSD. So does anyone know if it's compatible?

The M.2 Gen 4 - PCIe 4 x4 drives are not compatible with your Nitro 5 AN515-53, yes they fit and will work but, its a complete waste of your money as your AN515-53 will never ever utilise its speeds! If you want one of the top compatible M.2 Gen 3 than get the M.2 drive like the Samsung 970 Pro or the WD NS-750 (btw I'm using the 1TB 970 Pro on my new AN515-56 and its right up there as the fastest PCIe 3 x4 and has the usual Samsung quality) so these are a much cheaper and a better option to upgrade to, as they are all a PCIe 3 x4 that will fully utilise your laptops M.2 drives speeds as a PCIe 4 x4 will not..

Btw, Acer fitted or had these optional M.2 drives as their top option to your laptop and they are these models; 512GB INTEL SSDPEKKW512G7 or HYNIX HFS512G39TNDN210A so you can also use these drives also.
