Screen Display Positioning Messed Up On Monitor! Help!?

So, it's nighttime and I went to turn down the brightness on my Acer Monitor. I went to some kind of "empowered" option menu thingy and it gave me a few brightness presets. I selected the one I want and hit the "AUTO" button, because it said to hit auto after making the changes. I hit auto and my screen positioning shifted about 4 inches to the left. Now I can't see about 4 inches of my screen and there is a big black column on the other side of my screen. I tried repositioning in the display options on my monitor and Nividia driver, but nothing worked. I restored my monitor to factory default, but that didn't work either. I set my screen to a lower resolution, and it seemed to fill up the screen like it did before, but everything was big and fuzzy, and when I changed it back to normal resolution, it went back to being messed up. When I repositioned with my monitor, it moved, but only about 2 inches. When I repositioned with my Nividia driver settings, it just kind of scooted the screen into darkness.
