Extensa 215-54 Ram Upgrade!
Hi,
this is my first time using a forum. I have an Extensa 215-54 with 8GB of RAM (4 soldered and 4 in the SODIMM slot), in the manual it says that the maximum supported RAM is 12GB, but if I buy a 16GB RAM slot (thus reaching 20GB in total) would the pc work?

If you have 4GB onboard memory, you can upgrade up to 12GB(4GB onboard+8GB), your model is very recent and I am unable to access the manual, so if you are able to return the memory module to the retailer without any problem you could try installing a 16GB module at your own risk, it won't damage the laptop and it will either work or not, but in my opinion it's not worth the hassle because you won't be able to notice any difference between 12GB and 20GB..
