New Predator 3000 P3-640 PredatorSense fans do not spin up in auto

Hello All,
Just trying to understand why when I use PredatorSense in auto mode the fans run at minimum RPM no matter how hot the sensors are indicating.  I can run the fans full out in game mode or set them to a fixed RPM in custom, which is what I have to do, but auto just runs at slow speed.  Any ideas?

    Hello All,

Could be your mobo plugs cooling fan plug at its #3 green sensor wire that has a problem or your fans data wire, check that out or replace fan, best cpu dry cooling solution for your PO3-640 is the Noctua NH-U9S chromax.black (as its size fits perfectly into the OEM space) as that will give you 100% better cooling of the cpu especially in gaming.

The OEM cpu fans 4 pin plug or the mobo plug connector might restrict the PS from functioning 100%. try to uninstall completely your existing PS and reinstall it with the latest PS Version: 3.00.3050 and see if it works properly on "Auto" if not then its either your actual cpu cooling fan, its wires or mobo fan plug that is not connected or shorted out.

Thanks StevenGen,  I've tried to uninstall, reinstall the software, as well as having tried a few other fan controllers, Argus, MSI, FanControl but none on them can control the fan speeds (front, back or CPU), with the exception of the GPU fan.  I'll take a look inside the case tomorrow.  I've also seen quite a few folks recommending the Noctua fan, so maybe I'll give that a try.  It's kind of sad that you spend a half decent amount of money for a computer and then you have to spend more money to make it so that it doesn't burn up.  Makes me wonder how many people have purchased the same and never even given a thought to heat.  I'll let you know if I see anything.

So I took a look inside the case and disconnected and connected the mobo CPU fan plug.  Looks like there are no issues.  All of the fans will adjust speeds in custom and gaming mode but in auto mode they just spin at low rpms, even when the CPU is hot.  In the BIOS the setting for Smart Fan is on.  The temperatures all seem to be displaying correctly, even when using Third Party software.  I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the software a few times, still no change.  Waiting for a reply from Acer support but I don't get a warm and fuzzy about support services.  This system is 4 days old to me, and it appears it's not functioning correctly.  I'm considering returning and swapping for the same system.
