Nitro 5 charger repeatedly disconnects

Any idea why this would happen? I have reset power options, uninstalled battery drivers and disconnected the battery and it still happens. The interesting thing is that when the laptop is closed it charges without an issue. When it is open it sometimes disconnects immediately but other times it will continue to charge until it drops into sleep mode at which point it disconnects the second before it goes into sleep. When the charger drops out then both power indicator and battery indicator LED’s flash continuously. Any help greatly appreciated

Check your charger if it outputs 19V by using a multimeter, as you might have a faulty charger that intermittently charges and turns off? Otherwise its within your primary charging circuitries of your mobos board, that certain circuitry components need diagnosing by an experienced tech as you might have a faulty mosat, capacitor or resistor that are either shortening out or are faulty and these problems can only be traced by a technician that has the experience of your mobos circuitries and experience with laptops power functionality. There is very little that a user can do once you have internal circuitries problems, so don't try to fix anything as you will be going around in circles and do more damage than fix anything.
