PCI Expansion for G3-710 SSD?

Hello all,
I've got an older Predator G3-710 wit the KBL Mobo. I thought I had a spare PCI slot so I bought myself a Samsung 980 Pro SSD. Well, cracked open the case and there's no spare PCI slot. The only spare slots I have are the X1 slots. Can anyone recommend a PCI controller that would work for this? Will it not work at all and I'm just out of luck?
And if that's the case, has anyone have a recommendation for a SSD for this mobo that I can install?
