SP515-51GN Bios recovery procedure

Hi,

I have recently updated the bios on my acer SP515-51GN. During the update procedure, the computer randomly shut down and
I was never able to have display after.
The computer stils powers up, and the keyboard backlight works.

I have tried many things just to make sure that the bios was really the problem, including:
Trying an external display with the hdmi port,
    hard reset,
    bios battery test,
removing unecessary components like the hard drive, etc...

I then tried to recover the bios...

I am aware of the FN + ESC key to start the recovery process from a usb key.

I first downloaded the latest bios version from the official Acer website, extracted the .fd file from the .exe
I then formatted in Fat32 an old 2Gb usb key i had, and proceeded to put the .fd file on it.
I shut down the laptop completely, and powered it on while maintaining the FN + ESC keys.

The recovery process seems to start because the usb key flashes for a few seconds, but after about thirty seconds the laptop just reboots and
nothing happens, even after thirty minutes.

I then tried a combination of the following things while doing the recovery process:
I have gone through many pages on this forum with similar problems, trying every solution offered.
I tried all the bios versions released on the acer website.
I tried all the usb ports for the recovery process.
I tried doing the recovery process with the battery unplugged.
I tried renaming the .fd file with multiple names.

But nothing seems to work.

Can you please point me to the correct procedure to recover my bios ?

If need be, I can solder a new bios chip on it, but I havent found the right chip with the
bios pre-installed on it (I have found empty chips, but do not wish to install one, as I fear it will not solve my problem).

Thank you really much,

There is often a special name needed for the .fd file for that to work, but Acer doesn't publish that name since the procedure is only supposed to happen at the repair depot. You might be able to get Acer support to respond with the correct naming...
