I have a 4 year old Aspire 515-51G. When I push the ON-button, the power light turns blue, the keyboard lights turn on, you hear the ventilator runnign for about 2 seconds. And then: nothing happens.

I tried all tricks: reset battery, tap F2 to get into the BIOS, push power button for 30 seconds. But to no result.

What should I do?

    Hi @ hmd19570
Do a hard reset first, remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and try booting it up. - If this will not work, connect an external monitor while the laptops is on.

If the power LED stays blue and doesn't turn off, then try  pressing FN+F6 to turn the screen back on.

Just as an addition, below is your A515-51G's connecting cables diagram, disconnect the main battery and also the RTC battery cable (H) and leave them disconnected for about 5 min, reconnect both main and RTC batteries and try to power the laptop on as your laptop should power on, if not then there are other issues such checking the ram, so take the ram out and clean its plugs and ram pins with either a normal eraser or circuitry cleaning spray. if that doesn't work then it could be numerous issues such as the LCD screen, the screen EDC cable that connects the screen to the motherboard or other more complex internal circuitry issues that need to be analyzed by an experience technician.
