Acer Spin 514 no network available on trying to setup

I have a new Acer spin 514, i'm trying to use it for the first time, connected to wifi but just sits on the "network not available" screen.

i can view the internet via guest mode so its connected and shows as connected in settings and says good connection when you hover over the wifi icon on bottom right of the screen, a speed test of the wifi via my mobile phone shows good connection, i've also tried via my mobile phone using it as a mobile hotspot and still have the same issue, so can't see it being my wifi router.

looking on google communities this seems to be a common issue due to out of date chromeOS but i've tried a fix via pressing ctrl+alt+T and then typing in autest and then going into settings via guest mode and clicking on update chrome but it says i'm on the most current version which is incorrect as mine is showing version 88 but i'm told that is an OS from january last year and they are currently on version 103, i think there was a build date sticker on my unit that showed as built in august 21.

I've asked on several chromebook owner/user facebook groups but got loads of stupid replies like is your wifi on, its your router, turn it on and off, you need to sign into google account (cant as you cant get to that screen) just about had enough of it and about to send back to Amazon and buy a different make.

Is there a way to force it to update chromeOS?

Thanks

Try to disable "PMF for WPA2 security" in your router configuration.

OK I've now got it working,

i was about to follow the "recover your chromebook" instructions and as I was about to do it  a message popped up on the screen asking me to perform a powerwash, after that it allowed me to login to Google, I then went into about chrome in settings and click on check for updates, it then downloaded the latest OS 103.0.5060.114 official build 64 bit, did a restart and it all seems to be working now.
