Overheating and Lags while playing - Helios 300 PH315-51-59DJ

Hello Everyone, this is my first message here,

I bought my Predator Laptop in December 2018, almost 4 years now. (i5-8300H , GTX 1060, 16Go RAM)
I had a lot of problem with this laptop mostly because of the overheating. But Acer did a good job and repaired it each time (Hard drive - Fans etc...)

I saw many times on forum and from Acer that Predator are build to handle high temperature. 
Mine goes at 97-99 degree Celsius (CPU, my GPU is ok) every time I'm playing (From Minecraft to Elden ring).

At the beginning (2018-2019) it was mostly a noisy problem for me, because this laptop is kind of loude when it's fans are at Max Speed. 

I'm using it very often and 90% of the tine for video game for 1/2 hour or even 4/5 hours sometimes. 
But since at least +/- 2 year now, (I think) this intense use and heat combination, deteriorate my CPU and I had : 

- Lags (always when playing, each 30 sec),
- Crashes (often and even on the desktop),
- Blue screen (happened twice or three times 2 years ago).

But now, since a year now, Crashes stopped and I only have A LOT of lag each 20 sec (It goes from 144FPS to 2FPS for 2/3 sec and then come back at 144FPS) when playing League of legend (my new passion), and even terraria (lol).
And of course the temp is still at 98/99 degree Celsius.

However, I can't use anymore Acer guarantee because it's been 4 years now, I am at the point that I'm seriously thinking about buying a new one, (A Nitro 5 AN 515-45, their price are low and the hardware is pretty good) because gaming is not possible (of course it is, but its not optimal and uncomfortable).

I'm here to ask (begging) for some help, to give a last chance to this old dude. (I never tried to open it, the inside seems pretty clean with no dust)

Does someone know what could I do to fix those lags ?  (maybe change thermal paste ? )

You can try to do a reset to check if that makes any difference.

Follow the above link to do a reset to check if that makes any difference.

NOTE: Make sure to backup all the data before the reset.

I forget to mention that, when my laptop is hot, the hot air exhausted from the fans smell burned.

@keskiyq gaming laptop should be cleaned within 7-8 months of a normal gaming session. At this point, I would recommend you to disassemble the laptop, clean the dust and change the thermal paste to avoid any potential damage. If you don't know how to do this, you can take it to a laptop repair shop and let the technicians fix everything for you.
